Information we collect
We collect your account email, name, required mobile contact number, location, account type and company details for business users. We also store profile and contact preferences, listings, buying requirements, photos and documents, enquiries and replies, saved searches, notifications, reports and moderation records. Service providers may process technical information needed for authentication, security and delivery. Mobile numbers are contact details and are not OTP-verified. Do not upload unnecessary personal information or third-party documents without authority.
How we use information
We use this information to create and protect accounts, operate listings and enquiries, review submissions, investigate complaints, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and understand marketplace activity. Authorised MatXloop administrators can view and export registration and contact details for these purposes. Such access is not available to ordinary marketplace users. Marketing contact requires a separate optional opt-in; you can change your preference or ask us to stop it.
What other participants can see
Approved listings, product photos and buying requirements can be seen by marketplace visitors, so keep personal contact details and confidential records out of their descriptions and images. Public cards do not display your account email or mobile number. Eligible signed-in buyers can access supplier contacts when the supplier enables sharing. When you send an enquiry or respond in its thread, your account contact details are shared with the other participant. Confidential onboarding records remain restricted to your company and authorised administrators. Supporting reports follow review and explicit buyer-access permissions.
Authentication, storage and service providers
Supabase provides email-and-password authentication, confirmation and password reset. The selected Supabase project is hosted in Ireland, so authentication information is processed outside India. Resend delivers authentication emails from contact@matxloop.com. Sites provides application hosting, marketplace records and file storage; these services may process information outside India. We use providers to deliver the service and may disclose information where necessary to comply with law, protect users or investigate misuse. Passwords are not stored in marketplace profile records or made available in the administrator directory.
Cookies, browser storage and notifications
Browser storage maintains your Supabase sign-in session, and an HTTP-only session cookie supports authorised document access. These are used for account functionality and security. Marketplace replies and saved-search matches appear in the in-app notification area. Notification sound is optional and can be switched off. Marketplace notification emails, SMS OTP and app push notifications are not currently provided. Account confirmation and password-reset emails are separate service messages.
Marketplace insights
Administrators use aggregate supply, demand, listing, asking-price and response statistics to understand activity on this platform. These figures describe MatXloop activity, not the whole Indian battery market or completed transactions unless expressly stated. Designated demo records are excluded from activity metrics. Aggregate insight exports omit personal contacts. We do not sell personal information or confidential documents. Any future external insights service will require appropriate aggregation safeguards and updated disclosures before introduction.
Retention and account closure
We keep information while it is needed to operate your account, provide the service and handle enquiries or complaints. When you request closure, an administrator reviews the account and removes or de-identifies information no longer needed. Records may need to be retained for unresolved disputes, fraud prevention, security or applicable legal obligations; we will explain relevant exceptions when responding to your request. Submission of a request does not mean immediate deletion, and copies already lawfully received by other participants are outside our direct control.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile and contact preferences and request access, correction, export or deletion through My workspace → Saved searches → Account & data requests, or email contact@matxloop.com if you cannot sign in. We may verify your identity before acting to protect your information. You can withdraw optional marketing consent without losing free marketplace access. Removing information necessary to operate an account may require its closure. Contact the same address for privacy complaints or questions about how a request was handled.
Security and policy updates
We use account authentication, server-side permissions and restricted document access to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep credentials private, sign out on shared devices and report suspected misuse promptly. This policy is dated above and will be updated when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated through the service or your registered contact details where required.
